First, the installation site should fully consider ventilation, moisture protection, and fire prevention requirements. The unit must be placed on a flat, solid surface with sufficient surrounding space for heat dissipation. Air inlets and outlets must not be obstructed to prevent heat buildup that could trigger overheat protection shutdowns or accelerate component aging. Humid environments can easily lead to decreased electrical insulation and metal corrosion; therefore, rain shelters and dehumidifiers should be installed if necessary. Simultaneously, keep away from flammable and explosive materials, and ensure that the exhaust outlet faces away from densely populated areas to prevent hazards from exhaust fumes and high-temperature airflow.
During operation, all parameters must be strictly monitored. Operators should regularly check oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and battery voltage. If any abnormalities are found, the generator should be stopped immediately for troubleshooting. Avoid overloading or prolonged continuous full-load operation to prevent accelerated wear and shorten the lifespan of critical components. Before starting, ensure the load is disconnected to avoid sudden load impact on the generator and diesel engine. When shutting down, gradually remove the load before closing the throttle, allowing the unit to run unloaded for several minutes to cool down, then disconnect the main power supply.
Maintenance should follow established cycles and standards. Regularly change the engine oil, filter, and coolant; clean or replace the air filter; and check belt tension and pipe sealing. Dust and oil accumulation on the soundproof enclosure and muffler will reduce noise reduction and heat dissipation; clean them regularly. Electrical connections should be kept tight and corrosion-resistant; the battery should be fully charged and the fluid level checked regularly.
Before long-term storage, drain the fuel or add stabilizer, start running briefly to prevent internal corrosion, and disconnect the battery negative terminal. In extreme situations such as earthquakes or floods, disconnect the power supply and isolate the hazard source; restart only when the environment is safe.
